Fresh mint misbehaving

Fresh mint... so innocent when you bring it to garden... so refreshing as mint tea in hot summer...
so wild after one year... it escapes whatever you do...
cure? always plant it containers... otherwise you will keep running after it.... like me - look it grows on the my natural pesticides free lawn - together with moss and clover...

Is your mint misbehaving too?

I just love photos of small (young) plants! I do not have any mint in my garden yet but was thinking of planting some - your suggestion to keep it in a container is super and I will definitely follow it! Happy Spring!

This is why mine is grown in a big container on the patio - no way near the garden.

My mint was misbehaving - then I potted it and sunk the pot in the ground, which curbs it a bit. Can't give it up :)

My mint, which I didn't plant but came with the yard (and survived a huge makeover), is now growing out of the compost pile. And still coming up where it's been for years, despite me trying to remove it. Yes, ALWAYS plant mint in containers!

Mint gets everywhere! I have mine contained, but it's trying to grow along seams in my concrete pad to the grass.

Oh I am always in wonder at all thepeople who carry on about mint invading-on a dry limestone island my mint dies every few months!

I devoted a corner of the yard to a mint bed, and so far it hasn't spread, but has filled up the area nicely. When it starts to invade, I will wage war. Until then, it's nice to me, so I'm nice to it.

I have a lot of different mints and learned the hard way..it even spills into other containers.

totally agree about the pots, but to get the freshest mint, split into 3 each spring, keep one third and give 2 thirds away (if you can!)

My mint also misbehaves here in Africa ! That's a good tip to plant it in container/s because once you have it in your beds, it becomes most unruly and I keep finding it everywhere !

I live in a country where finding fresh mint is incredibly difficult. Last week I happened to pass a vendor at the market who was selling potted mint! So I picked up 3 (two spearment, one peppermint). I live in an apartment and must grow them indoors. So My Freind recomend me an Professional Arborist So They can help me to Grow Mint indoor.
